Volunteer Opportunities
SPIP utilizes volunteers in a variety of ways. Volunteering opportunities may entail a specific event or longer-term commitment. Volunteer activities and duties may include but are not limited to:
- Collecting and analyzing data
- Taking notes at victim/survivor focus groups and at partner meetings
- Conducting research
- Assist in the provision of supervised activities and play time for Bridges to Safety participants’ children while they are receiving on-site services
- Assist in the collection of donations for participants and their children’s basic needs
Assist in provision of supervised activities and play time for the children of participants attending evening support groups or daytime focus groups
Assist in basic repairs, improvements and upkeep of our building or grounds
- Update resource contacts and information
- Assisting with data entry
- Make copies and files
- Assemble handouts, trainings packets, etc.
- Filing and general organizing of supplies and donations
- Garden work: weeding and planting in our front and back gardens
- Organizing donations
- Organizing storage area
- Assisting with special events, projects and/or fundraising events
- Assist in securing donations for families' holiday needs
- Assisting in the monitoring of court outcomes
- Collecting and analyzing data
- Taking notes at victim/survivor focus groups and partnership meetings
- Conducting research
- Assisting in garnering community-based support in legislative and other critical issues
