Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Please Join SPIP and Our Partners on Monday, October 27th at 6 pm at 394 Dayton Avenue, St. Paul, MN.
We will gather in our parking lot outside of SPIP’s building to Honor Victims and Survivors of Domestic Abuse and the Impact we as a Community have had Working Together to End Domestic Violence.
Every October, SPIP gathers with our partners and members of the community to honor Victims and Survivors of Domestic Violence and the support and impact we have found as a community working together towards ending domestic violence and all forms of oppression.
This very special annual event is generally held outside of SPIP’s building in the evening.
There we gather; unified in our commitment to reach and serve all victims of domestic violence, and the continued development of transformative approaches towards ending domestic abuse.
Together we celebrate the strength of our collaborations, the work of community-based advocates, and striving for a more just and equitable justice system and society for all.
Together we pay tribute to the voices of the victims/survivors and in keeping their stories and realities at the forefront of all of our work.
At the end of our event, we each light a candle to honor the lives of the victims/survivors we serve and our solidarity in creating a world where all people can be safe in their homes and communities.
Our candlelight vigil is accompanied by a song to mark the end of our event.
Attendees are invited to stay, enjoy one another’s company and share in hot cider and treats!
The Northland Cup Charity Hockey Event
A big thank you from the Saint Paul Intervention Project for all of those who attended The Northland Cup this year! We were able to raise $26,000 for victims of domestic abuse from this invigorating event. Please join us next year at TRIA Rink for a game of intergovernmental hockey!

The Northland Cup is SPIP’s annual fundraising event in which 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the victims and children we serve. This uplifting event is organized by amazing volunteers and sustained by many generous sponsors and donors. These supporters reflect the heartfelt commitment of businesses and members of our community to upholding the safety and long-term well-being of victims of domestic violence and their children.
Over the years the Northland Cup Charity Hockey Event has become so much more than a fundraiser. It is a joyful event and gathering that brings together people from all walks of life in celebration of our unity, resilience and the power of community. Together we work towards creating a society where no one has to live in fear in their own home and neighborhoods.
Our charity hockey game between Ramsey County and City of Saint Paul employees is held each year in late winter at the beautiful TRIA Rink in downtown St. Paul. Our event is free and open to the public.
Accompanying the excitement of the hockey game are incredible silent auction items, raffles, “Chuck-a-Puck,” hats and sweatshirts/shirts for sale, and delicious food vendors.
